How to learn druid shapeshifting?

spells. I had expected shapeshifting, but discovered it was not there

Almost. There are several druid trainers. Only the one at the top of the
spiral stairs offers this quest. If you stop at one of the trainers in the
lobby, you won't see this.

The guy upstairs (not the snotty guy in the penthouse) has a quest to go to
Moonglade to see the guy who will dispatch you to find the bear spirit in
Moonglade. You get a Moonglade spell to use to teleport there. (You get to
keep this and it's a great way to get back to Kalimdor from the Eastern
Kingdoms without burning a hearthstone cooldown.)

Later in your mid-teens you get a quest from the same guy to see the same
guy in Moonglade to get your sealion form. That quest is much harder. See
the guides at Thottbot, Allakhazam, and Goblin Workshop to see all the
tricks on how to deal with that one.

You get a similar quest at level 20 for cat form.

They may have changed this; when my druid turned 20, the fellow in
Darnassus just gave her the cat form in exchange for silver. Bear and sea
lion did require quests.

You're probably right. I've had my 20 druid parked for a month while I
leveled my other toons.

But I did just finish a quest to collect mushrooms and earthroot and use
the result on the green deer to get a cure poison spell and amulet. Same
guys in Darnassus and Moonglade process that one.

Are there more druid quests beyond that? Or is that the last one?

I don't remember any after the one where you learn to cure poison--later
you learn to remove a curse, but I don't think there was a quest involved
with it. They all kind of run together after a while, though...

Only quest based things a druid does are Bear form, Swim form, and
Poison. Travel Form, Cat Form, Dire Bear Form, and Remove Curse are all
trained normally.

Just picked one up. Guess that moves to the top of my queue next time I
log on. :-)

So this is like the quest for pallidins I went through last month, where
I learned to rez after doing rez on someone using a device they gave me?

Don't know, but pretty sure it will be a quest thats available at level 10,
20, 30 etc given to you by a Druid trainer

For a Night Elf Druid you need to go to Darnassus and speak with the
trainer on the second floor. He will give you a quest (and all
subsequent quests).
