Hm.
The AP rewards will probably be bigger than today's 100k reward from a
typical heroic dungeon. But... 865,842,644,766,330?
Lol yeah I think the 50/50 one is aimed at the hardcore types
really... but I do know there'll be new ranks of artifact knowledge
which are a LOT more effective than the currect ones, which should
help!
"Artifact Knowledge Level 50 - 55200000%" according to MMO-C, by
comparison the current max lvl is 25,000%, as I understand it (haven't
logged in to check), so adding the commas for readability, 55,200,000%
seems a rather large increase indeed :-)
Big numbers are fun. :)
With 7.3 the AK should go to level 70 as far as I understand.
Imho. I'm tired of this AP farming.
Heh it doesn't bother me because I don't rush at it; I reached 35
points on my 2 main specs (ok, one 36 and one 35), that's good enough
for me lol - I'd be further along without my enforced break from the
game but still, I'd not have completed it and I don't greatly care;
I'm having fun even if I don't fill out the 20/20 (or 50/50
forthcoming) traits ;-)
Post by Peter T.Also. I cant grab the right
rotation for my 887 arcane mage. My last kill on Krosus/normal my dps
was 365k. It should be more like 550k and more. I have double and
triple checked and compared my rotation to other mages' rotations found
at warcraftlogs. I have read altered-time.com over and over again,
tested my rotations on a dummy for hours. Frustrating!
Ouch, I bet; that sounds a pretty big difference from the expected
numbers. I never get to what I "should" get, I've accepted I'm just
not great at dps rotations (my only high lvl dps right now is a feral
druid... well..yeah, that is NOT a user-friendly spec... :-P), but
it's frustrating when it's a big gap. I know nothing about mage so
can't make any suggestions, but maybe some different guides will give
stuff that suis you better - I've heard it said that in some cases
it's better to take the "wrong" talent, because it's easier to get
right, and the "right" talent is easier to turn into a dps loss by
having to move at the wrong time etc. But as a pure casual I'm going
on hearsay and my own personal preference for taking the easy options
in my builds ;-)
Post by Peter T.Also. My keyboard broke down last friday. So I bought the big brother
to that keyboard saturday (steelseries apex). My fingers cant hit the
right buttons anymore and in BGs I'm close to mentally exploding because
I hit the jump key and not the nuke key. Last night I had to draw my
mage from a hc guild run in NH due to my keyboard problems. Worst
excuse ever!
Argh that'd drive me mad, yeah - muscle memory sure does work, ever
since I started playing Guild Wars 2 I've been trying to use its
keybinds in WoW, sigh. It would be very nice if I could just hit "R"
to dodge out of the aoe that's about to land on me, but it doesn't
work in WoW and now it's too late to move normally, need to retrain my
brain to accept two different systems ;-)
Post by Peter T.I'm gonna take a few days off from the game and I return
in a week /me thinks.. I couldnt care less about new content in my
current WoW mood.
Oh well. New job next monday. And less time for woW. I'm looking
forward for both. :)
Hehe hope the job goes well and yes, sounds like time for a break,
come back recharged when you're in the mood again :-)
Post by Peter T.Post by Catriona RI also really like the constant events, especially the ones in chains,
where you escort some NPCs, if successful, they invade a place, then a
big champion spawns, etc, it's fun following those kinda chains,
especially as they do make an actual impact (for a few minutes) if you
capture a base, or fail to prevent enemies setting stuff on fire,
feels pretty good :-) If one particular world boss isn't killed within
a time limit (often happens; he takes proper coordination), he
terrorises the zone randomly killing stuff for the next few hours till
he's available to be killed again, nice touch!
I havent seen that anywhere?
In Guild Wars 2 in case I didn't make that clear enough :-) If I did
and you know the game, I'm referring to the Triple Trouble great
jungle worm boss, where if it's not killed the worm heads "terrorise
the coast" until the next time the event is open, love that detail.
Post by Peter T.Well. Late last tuesday night I tried to
make a raid for the worldboss in Val'Sharah just before reset. That
wasnt a success. Despite I had set it to "Invite only" loads of DK and
druid tank bots applied for a spot. I've never seen bots applying for a
spot before that night. Isn't that new?
Anyway. We were like 10 real players in the raid and one of them
aggroed the dragon by accident so it jumped from player to player.
Mayhem. The dragon walked all the way to Temple of Elune and nuked
everything before it despawned. Almost just like the old days in
vanilla when the worldboss got kited from Duskwood to Stormwind. :)
Lol nice, I do remember those days, chaotic but fun when that kinda
thing happened :-)
