Item drops in TBC

Last weekend I got two blue item drops in Outlands. Outside instances,
that is (haven't visited instances yet). When I leveled my troll hunter
from 1 to 60, I got two blue drops total. Anyone else noticed inflated
drop rates for blue items? On the other hand, it seems that there are
a lot of green item drops too. The most surprising drop I got was
a formula for the unholy weapon enchant. I checked thottbot and indeed,
some mobs in Terokkar forest drop it sometimes. Unfortunately the
price of it had fallen down in AH too. :/

I find about 1 green per hour of questing, looks to me like similar to
the time before TBC. And I haven't found a blue yet.
What I did notice was that the chests in the ramparts contained blue
items quite often, maybe 2 out of the 5 chests I've seen there. Then
again, this isn't exactly a big enough sample size...

I do think the rate of blues and high quality greens is higher from
random mobs. Sometimes it's confusing to me.

Last knight I picked up a blue "Book of Conjure Water IX". I had no
idea of the value and decided to list it "a bit high" on the AH since
there was no deposit and see what happens. I listed it at 15G bid, 20G
BO. It literally sold before I could turn around and leave the AH. I
mean within seconds!

Wow! I knew right then I had under-priced it, so I went to the wow-
econ site and looked it up. Seems the median price has been about 90G,
and some sold for 400G. Doh!!!!

I think I'll be paying closer attention to these random drops going
forward.

Yeah sold mine for 110g :( I always check Alakazam b/f listing
something I havent seen on AH. Not only does it give a good fair
market value but ensures I dont waste money on items that should be
just vendored.

Yeah, they seem to have made that Unholy enchant a party favor, in
Outlands. I got it too from some random mob. Too bad they couldn't
have made the party favor drop something useful, instead of that
POS ench. As for your lucky blue drops, that's all it was, luck. I've
been playing steady in Outlands since it came out, and have yet to
see a blue outside of an instance. Green drop rate is nicer though...
bout time.
