It's more than 10 years since I first played WoW (I made it to lvl 40
on a pvp realm, couldn't stand the ganking, and quit), but 10 years
ago yesterday I rolled my first real main which made it all the way to
lvl 60: a human rogue called Balgair. Almost forgot his birthday, I
realised at 11.30pm and quickly logged him and ran off to Dalaran to
grab a big cake! ;-) Visited STV to take some screenies, it was one of
my favourite zones in vanilla and there's still a few bits that are
unchanged, brought back memories, once I'd turned old models on.
Pretty sad though as I knew that after this I was going to kill him:
faction change is pending now, soon he'll be undead :-/ It'll be truer
to "my" character than his new model is, but still, feels a bit bad; I
have a backstory for him and all, so he effectively is "dying" to
become undead, so yeah, hurts a bit. Though I'll be happy to be
actually playing him again rather than looking at the login screen and
switching away to a character I can stand the sight of lol ;-)
