The WoW ads on the curse.com web site have been saying that the release date for the next x-pac will be Nov 13, 2014. I checked the Battlenet website and it says the same thing. That's a month earlier than the original planned release and it comes around the time of Wow's 10th anniversary.

The original planned release wasn't actually December, that was just
the absolute latest it'd be released, that said, I was expecting
December, thinking that'd make it easier than having it at the same
time as the anniversary stuff. I hope they'll give us plenty of time
to level to 100 before the anniversary ends, as they've put so much
fun stuff in that I'm finding it really slow to level on beta, not
because it's hard but because I keep wandering off and exploring stuff
instead of questing ;-) 95 is my record so far, usually they do a
character wipe when I'm 93-94ish :-P

Very fun as far as I've got, anyway, looking forward to it going live
:-)
