all I have to say is......
LMFAO!!!

What a cluster@#$....lol. :)

Went in on Tuesday night and after 60 min queue time, I come in on the
first boss, with 9 stacks of determination for the group already. It
takes 4 more wipes before we get her down, and by that time we had
almost a entirely different group anyway. You only max on 10 stacks, so
any wipes after are for nothing. After comments were made, several
people commented that they were in other groups that had much more. I
left after 5 attempts on the 2nd boss as I had to get to bed. It's
interesting getting to Org without the actual horde players around, as
it's its own instance. Couple of us were wondering on our way back to
the second boss what would happen if we kept on riding away from org.
Would we hit a wall or be brought back to the graveyard after a certain
distance? lol Never did find out! :)

Anyway - the winner of the group was a guy said he was in an LFR group
earlier that was stuck on the 3rd boss with the 10 stacks of
determination and 45 additional wipes.....

You can't help but laugh when it gets like that. What are you going to do?

On a side note, I got my (main) mage through LFR (1st part (vale) last
week and 1 boss in the 2nd part (outside Org) Tuesday, and through the
1st two bosses of (vale) on 10 man normal.

My guild did a Flex raid last night and they needed heals, so I brought
my Resto druid and healed the 1st two bosses of the Vale on flex with 15
people. I then finished the last two bosses on LFR which makes her
eligible for part 2 now.

I have to say the wow gods have been kind to me on drops on the two
toons. My mage got ilvl 528(upgraded to 536) staff weapon and ring from
her LFR run and a 553 (561 upgraded) hands from the 10 man normal. My
druid got a 528(536 upgraded) wrist from the LFR, and a 540 (548
upgraded) ring from the flex raid. The only problem was that I had been
running ToT so much getting my tokens for the legendary quest that I had
set my loot to Kitty as I didn't need anything for my resto set in there
and forgot to change it before the LFR, so my 536 hands are agility....
:( Ah well - at least I *can* use them anyway for my OS and
wouldn't have been that much of an upgrade to my heal set for the most
part....

As a priest healer I found it pretty challenging, the last boss tosses
some flying knives or axes or something that are hard to see and I got
killed I think 3x or something before I learned to dodge them (actually
dodging isn't implemented in the game though, Secret World does that way
better). We did get it done in the end. Later I logged in on horde side
(it's the same fight) but I got in halfway throught the fight and then
the tanks left. I did the dead bird in the cage and went to have fun
with my guildies in ICC (we stranded on the lich king, 5 man without a
clue what we where doing haha)

Rofl oh dear! Been reading many complaints on MMO-C about it, sounds
pretty bad until people learn a bit lol. I've not tried either wing
yet, intended to but suffering with a streaming cold doesn't really
make me feel like even doing familiar raids, never mind something new
where I have to be able to think clearly lol... that seems to be
improving now though so I'll likely give it a shot over the weekend...

Haven't tried this one, but Old Hillsbrad Foothills greys out when you
ride too far from the intended area; you're just in a thick fog where
you can see *nothing* whatsoever, not even the ground Maybe they've
done something similar here.

Not complaining...It should not be a faceroll, being the last raid in
the expansion....it was just amusing. Mechanics though, should be
simple enough that communication / explanation of your role is obvious
without the need for long, drawn out explanations. Yes, people should
do their homework before, but many in LFR do not. They just rely on
either someone explaining the fight before hand, figuring it out on
their own over several wipes, or dying and getting carried through,
eventually figuring it out over the next weeks or 2...or 3 or 4....

Queued up for the 1st and 2nd again last night (thank you multi-raid
queue!) to see which I got picked for first...After 45 minutes, I got
the 2nd raid again right where I left off - a first attempt on the 2nd
boss. Took 3 attempts and we got him down. Not bad when most knew what
the idea was and the tanks moved the tanking spot to the open area to
the right where people could move a bit to avoid stuff, yet still have
the fence and wall behind them for the blast back. Got 3 attempts on
the 3rd boss before the group broke up. Waited 25 minutes with 10
people and still had no replacements come in before I left. We wiped on
the trash after going into Org itself once as the tank tried to pull to
many of the groups. As per what seems the norm on this expansion, there
seemed to be unending trash on the way to the third boss inside
Org.....reminds me almost of the second part of ToT after you down the
turtle, the trash getting to the snake boss. You have to clear enough
trash from the area inside the gates of Org to fight the boss. This
involved my group clearing the trash outside (which is a lot), then
pulling the groups from inside the AH, the Inn, and other buildings. It
could be that the tank could have been over cautious and just didn't
want a wipe during the boss fight be some absent minded player wandering
too close to a building and accidentally pulling mobs, which are tough
boogers.... I foresee this in the future as a potential problem when the
instance becomes "routine" and some tanks will choose to forgo clearing
any more than they have to, which will lead to a bitchfest in raid chat
when the raid wipes because a heals or ranged dps pulled mobs...

done something similar here.
Something similar....while waiting for a replacement team during my
wasted 25 minutes, I went exploring and rode south out of Org....You hit
a invisible wall. The wall is set up as a square that exactly matches
your large map when you open it.... I rode around it and too the south
you can see further, just can't move any closer. To the west, it was
interesting...it was the same in that you just see what was there and
not get there, but when you turned to come back I found myself engulfed
in a red fog and feared I glitched into something. Could not see
anything no matter where I went, like a fog or war, but red, even when I
retraced my steps. I quickly popped open my mini map and aimed the
pointer at Org and ran that way. After a few seconds everything
materialized around me. So what do I do after I breathe a sigh of
relief that everything was fine? I turn around and run back to see if
it would do it again....lol. What a morooon. :) "Hey this fire is
hot and I got burned...If I touch it again, I wonder if I'll get
burned...yup...How about now? Ouch.. " :)

So it sounds similar...Just a red fog that matches the landscape of that
crappy city....I mean Org... :)

Think I'm just going to run the 1st part tonight....Heard it had gotten
better/easier as people got comfortable with it..

I'm inclined to think LFR needs more obvious instructions on
mechanics, even if it's just a pop-up on your screen giving a hint -
can't speak for SoO but there were parts of ToT that I found pretty
confusing, and I *did* read up beforehand. You can't really expect
that many in LFR to have done so really, and in that case, chaos
ensues. There's a lot too many mechanics that can reverse, eg. bomb on
you, move away so you don't blow everyone up... oh, but THIS bomb
kills you if you don't stack up! Don't stand in crap on the floor,
well that's obvious enough... oh but THIS crap on the floor spawns
adds if nobody stands in it. And no clue which is which till you
experience it *sigh*.

I struggle badly with things like that; I just don't have a good
enough memory to remember every detail of strategy until I've learned
through experience a few times. If I have trouble, when I've been
raiding (casually, but still) off and on for years, have DBM
installed, read strategies beforehand... well it's no wonder the more
"casual" (hate that word when it's used in a negative way but can't
think of a better one for this case) players do badly, if they've not
even got the resources I have to work from.

Oh boy, that'll be fun - any time trash could possibly be skippable,
tanks love to skip it... cue wipe when not all the dps avoid it! Trash
before Megaera *always* had a load of deaths, I never really
understood why people thought it was quicker to wipe at least once,
and wait for dead people to res and run back (usually bringing a
friend with them) than it would be to just kill it in the first place?

I like what I'm hearing about the trash in Org from a story viewpoint
though, I especially want to see the scene where you rescue Ji Firepaw
(the Pandaren representative) - I only hope I'm in a group which
actually does rescue him sometime and doesn't just always let him
die...

Sounds good, hopefully my first experience will be ok then. Sounds
like fun from the strategies, I'm only hoping enough people have half
a clue that it'll actually work out...!

all I have to say is......
LMFAO!!!
Well - I queued up again on Sat. night, and came in at the same time as
a two crabby tanks from the same guild, but were those tanks you
couldn't argue with as they knew their ***@t. Meh - Some people just
don't have people skills.. :)

MT had a couple people booted from the run who wouldn't do what he said
or argued back. "This is what we're doing - you and you are over here
and are going to do this, you and you are with me, and you are going to
do this...and boot this hunter as it's the 2nd time I've asked him to
turn off aspect...boot him now or we're not tanking"... The group
apparently had just waited 15 minutes for replacement tanks, and no dps
was in the mood to wait again...

Normally I don't like this kind of crap, but I had just come in on the
second boss, (as did the tanks) and the group had 6 stacks of
determination. He more or less guaranteed that if the group did what he
said, there would be no more problems, and if they didn't they'd be booted.

Well, all did it his way and we downed the boss on that attempt.
Cleared the trash for the third boss and he said there were two ways to
do it, and we were going to try the normal way and if we wiped we'd do
it "the pussy way". Well we wiped, so he instructed the second way,
which I don't fully understand what was being done but it worked
beautifully, so I don't understand why it's the "pussy" way. He did
something where a small group took & kept one of the bosses inside the
main hall/building and the rest of the raid had the other boss outside.
Less tornadoes (or none - don't remember) and only had to deal with
the green blobs and one boss. I was outside so I don't know what was
going on in the building.....Downed him (them) that way quickly and
simply on that attempt. Anyone know this method who can explain a bit,
it would be appreciated as no other groups / attempts I did had done
this and it seemed so easy.

After that, there was not a peep from the raid in doing what he asked
for the remainder. Got to the last boss down in Ragefire Chasms (which
was a bit weird for as an Alliance just walking in that way). He told
what he wanted, we did it and we one shot the last boss.

This was ironically, mostly the same group (with maybe one or two
exceptions/change outs) that I started with (once we got set). So I
give credit to all for the nice run. A leader doesn't have to be liked,
just lead and lead well and respect is earned...So props to him.

At least I can take a look at the 3rd part tonight :)

Finally stopped chickening out and tried part 1 - that part's easy
enough it seems, had very little idea what was going on but everything
died with what seemed like very little trouble. My experience through
all the bosses was "uh, no idea what to do, run out of crap and heal
stuff" :-P The one with the beam thingy that wasn't mentioned in the
guide I read made me think a little, but after Durumu, it wasn't too
likely I'd hang round to find out what the beam actually does if it
hits you - everyone else seemed to be running from it so I think I
guessed right ;-)

Only one piece of loot dropped for me but I wasn't complaining since
it was the one item I really desperately wanted - an offhand! I was
still wearing a 476 from Mogu'shan Vaults, so yeah, a 52-point upgrade
there, that'll do very nicely indeed :-)

I'll probably leave part 2 for next week; I get confused learning too
many new things at once and I was very confused in there; worked ok
but still, doing it again before trying anything else is probably a
good plan!
