Hehe yeah, I liked that change :-) Hope it includes yells...

Not a lot else interesting in the patch, but flying might get me doing
a few things I've been meaning to do but waited till it was easier...
archaeology is ok without flying in many digsites but some are just
plain annoying, so I decided to leave that until I could fly for it!

I disabled the display of yells years ago. Every now and then Blizzard
turns it on for me, so I have to turn it off again.

Well. The flying skill really helps when doing tanaan dailies.

Besides that. I've started farming the apexis caches with garrison
resources in Ruins of Kra'nak. I think I've farmed 1.5k resources in 1
hour on my druid. :) Better have to farm that spot on my other chars
too before everybody else starts farming it.

True I bet, I'm just kinda done with those :-) What I will use it for
is camping the rares I haven't yet killed; or hey, even finding their
spawnpoints, given they're all in nice elite areas that a squishy
healy priest isn't very wise to solo into ;-) I'll have to give my new
trinket a shot too, it should be great vs elites :-)

Hehe druids are overpowered for farming stuff like that :-D I've got
no shortage of resources anyway, but that could be pretty handy for
alts indeed.

Been hearing there's rare spawns in a few spots that aren't reachable
without flying, nice touch so I'll probably go and look at those -
toys and pets are always good!

Wut trinket? the doom trinket with the huge leech stat from Kazzak?

Totally. I focus on 5 lvl 100 chars and some of them are low on
resources. But I just logged after farming Ruins of Kra'nak for 30
mins. 1.4k resources. That was on lowpop DMF. But Draenor was almost
just as good. :)
by the way. All my resources goes to the ship missions as I still

Yes. I found and killed one inside HfC this morning. Prolly only DKs
can solo the new rares. A hunter and warrior came by and gave me a hand. :)

time to test it ;-)

Surprisingly Draenor often is decent in that area, I always went there
for the apexis fragment daily, sometimes someone else had cleared them
out, but often there were loads up :-)

I've heard the rare missions spawn whether or not you do other
missions, so I got bored of shipyard missions, just do legendary
questchain ones and a few exp ones to lvl up replacement ships when
one dies, otherwise, don't bother. Too much risk (losing ships) for
too little reward. I should bother to actually get the shipyard on
more than one character though, might improve my chances...

Hehe oh well, with Draenor's pop it won't take long for me to find
someone else willing to take them down, rares are one of the few times
I can make use of healing abilities outwise instances, there's usually
someone who takes on something that hits harder than they realise and
I can help them out ;-)

200-300k dmg, pretty nice :-) Not huge vs 4 million health rares, but
that'll be really useful on 1 million health elites, great!

I had one down to 20% health and was fairly comfortable before someone
else came along, so a Disc priest with artillery strikes and tendril
trinkets can do ok against the Tanaan one that throws stuff at you
anyway (LoS the throw as much as possible and wait on dmg cds while
healing/shielding those that do hit you). 3 kills of toy-dropping
rares, no toys, bah, maybe next time!

Ahh that one. It shouldnt work in WoD dungeons and raids though. But I
tested it in the instance in Tanaris on my lvl40ish priest. With some
patience I could have soloed the dungeon.

The apexis spawn pretty fast at the ruins. I have seen them spawning in

Yep. I havent tried soloing them. But I've read on wowhead that a 699
warlock couldnt solo one of the rares. I give it a try on my destro

Hah good point, I was trying soloing dungeons at lvl on an alt a while
back, that trinket should help a lot whenever I get back to that one
:-)

I don't know how true it is, but I do know the only rare mission I've
actually had (Black market NPC) spawned on a day when I'd done no
missions at all, so it didn't fill a gap left by clearing them. But I
hardly ever get rare missions (except the raid finder treasure chest),
"rare" doesn't begin to describe them. Got bored and bought my Left
Shark in the end, given how stupidly cheap they are on the AH, other
people are getting them, but I'm not, so maybe the lazy approach isn't
helping! Or maybe the only one character approach might be more my
problem... ;-)

The one I tried wasn't bad, but I did line up a ton of cds, and having
good selfhealing helps as well. I might have got a soft-hitting one
though, others seem rather harder, certainly one I saw took half the
health of a hunter who pulled him before the hunter's pet took aggro

All my resources goes to the ship missions as I still

Just read an interesting wowhead comment while looking up the Ghostly
Spyglass equipment blueprint (which I apparently don't yet have,
according to the achievement progress):

"This Blueprint is required to unlock the Heirloom rings rare missions
for the Shipyard. just turn in the quest, no need to buy the Spyglass
or equip it"

No idea how true it is, but that would certainly explain why I've
never seen those missions! Maybe could be the case for you too? I'm
off to hunt Captain Ironbeard now... ;-)

Yep. Friend of mine was stuck on that for weeks, nit realizing it was a
chokepoint.

Yes, I do happen to believe that love is mainly about pushing chocolate
covered candies and, y'know, in some cultures, a chicken. You can call
me a sucker, I don't care, because I do believe in it. Bottom line: it's
couples who are truly right for each other that wade through the same
crap as everybody else, but the big difference is they don't let it take
them down. One of those two people will stand up and fight for that
relationship every time. If it's right, and they're real lucky, one of
them will say something.

Damn, that's not at all obvious to anyone who didn't research it, I
just assumed the missions would happen sometime and all I had to do
was wait! Oh well, got the spyglass now, so I really do just have to
wait now (I hope) :-)

Wonder if there's similar requirements on the shark/mount missions,
sharks are so cheap on the AH that it seems everyone else is getting
it except me! Yes, I do have the shark tank blueprint, which would
seem the obvious connection...

Well. I just got the first heirloom ring (agi) mission 2 days ago (48
hour mission). It should be ready to complete when I login in a moment.
Yesterday I got another heirloom ring mission. this time it was the
int ring. I kept clearing the missions in the upper right corner of the
map as those missions only appear in that area! Thats all. Both chars
hasnt done any raiding at all and no progress with the legendary quest
line at all. In both missions I was able to gear up my ships to 96%.

All I can say is that there are no other hidden requirements than those
that are mentioned already. 10 followers at 675. Your own char at ilvl
675 and the plan for the ghostly spyglass.

Plans seem to be accountwide now which is a bonus, hopefully means
double the chances now I've got my 2nd shipyard built (or at least,
once I upgrade a few baleful items for 675 on that alt)... although I
wonder how high lvl the shipyard needs to be, maybe my lvl 1 shipyard
is a little low ;-)

Well! Turns out the vendor is the wrong one, not me :-P Went to grab
some gear on my main, who *definitely* earned them, and... almost all
are shaded red with red text suggesting I can't use them. Bought and
used one anyway, so it's just a display issue. Checked on my alt next
and oh look, she can use them too: they ARE accountwide after all!

Hopefully in that case, the chance at ring missions is also
accountwide :-)

Hmm. It seems youre right. I just checked it on two of my alts. The
only equipment I cant buy is the tuskarr fishing net and unsinkable.
Both are based on rep (afair) and bought from the vendor in
vol'mar/lion's watch. All others are unlocked. It must be a 6.2.2
feature. /me like :)

Btw. I think the rings depends on which char you get the ring mission.
My rogue got the mission for the agi ring. My warlock got the mission
for the int ring. The only strength char I have at lvl 100 is a pally
which is nowhere close to any ship missions. :)

Argh, that'll be a nuisance then, since my only 2 100s are both
casters :-) Maybe I should set my ele shammy's loot spec to enh for a
bit lol.

Might actually get a rogue to 100 soonish though, I've finally
admitted defeat on ever getting used to the new human male model; my
old main is just not my character and never will be so fine, I'll
convert him to undead. Realised it's his 10th birthday in a couple of
weeks though so I'll wait till then; sounds silly but I've got a lot
of sentimental attachment to that character :-)

Meanwhile I love rogues and factionchanging him will leave my alliance
alts without a friendly box-opener so I took the opportunity to at
long last have a high lvl female gnome, always loved them but never
managed to hit on a class that worked for me with them - I never used
my 90 boost so I have now, one cute little rogue is born :-D

Sure feel alliance got the short end of the deal with the new models;
there's really only 5 out of 14 that I actually like, and of those, 2
are Pandaren (not changed) and one is gnome female where I can only
stand one face. Others are draenei female and dwarf male (both
great!), everything else is terrible, which sucks for me as I love the
feel of Alliance as a faction, just hate the models, so many of my
former alliance alts are being deleted/abandoned.

Lol at the timing there, typical hehe :-) Hoping that now I've got

help, two chances instead of one, even though it was my main that got

soon, now I actually have the plans, had no idea about that one until
now, oops.
Just got my 2nd ever rare mission! Oh... no... it's a repeat of the
one and only rare one I've ever had. Yeah, I can really use a 2nd
black market quest. Typical!
I've just read the mount mission drops in lower left corner. So I guess
the BMAH mission drops in the opposite corner of the beginning zone on
the map (up/let or down/right depending on faction)?

Mine was in upper right corner, tbh I think all rare missions are
either upper right or lower left corner, my raid finder gear ones are
always upper right. There's nothing stopping you having multiples up
btw, I had 2 rare and 2 legendary all in the upper right corner
yesterday lol... it's a tad crowded in there!

Mine too. But I dont think I have seen any rare missions in the lower
left corner.

Undocumented changes discovered so far...

Battle pet bandages stack higher than before! Not sure exactly how
high but my 4 stacks are now 1 stack of 83, anyway. With a few items
becoming toys as well, that's helped my bagspace a lot :-)

Blowing up ships in failed shipyard missions now tells you what type
of ship you lost, makes it easier to know what to build more of at
least (sigh).

The enchanting building in the garrison can now DE epics (I'm sure it
wouldn't let me when I tried previously). Unfortunately I discovered
this by accidentally DE'ing my best healing trinket... oh well, I now
know the item restoration feature works, phew ;-)

The building always could disenchant itemlevel 645+ epics, but it can't
disenchant lower-level epics such as upgraded quest rewards or epics
from a previous expansion.

Yep, think I freed up 7 bagslots today, great :-) This expansion's
been a right pain for bagspace, follower upgrade tokens, fishing bait,
toys-that-aren't-toys, bandages in huge quantities (that I never can
convince myself to vendor, in case I want them...), nice to improve on
a fw things anyway!

Ahh, that explains it then, I would've tried the quest rewards most
likely, and decided it didn't work so never tried higher lvl ones. And
I've wasted so many upgraded Baleful items by vendoring them, assuming
they didn't work! Could've lived with learning it in a less annoying
manner but oh well, now I know to be much more careful...
