quest (elite) The Flame's Casing

There Zebby was, Searing Gorge. Mountains to the Northwest.

Picking away at the large encampment of Twilight’s Hammers.

Levels 47 to 49 elites. OR that is what I was dealing with outside the

cave.



Easy enough for a level 53 Hunter if you don't draw any linking monsters.

You know two elites at once, to much imho.



Zebby is after the single symbol of Ragnaros.

(Aliase lvl 53 got it from the first guard coming up the road from the south

toward the cave).



Okay so Zebby has bad luck, and had to clear ALL the monsters from

around the cave up the roads, and the junction in front of the cave.

Not to mention the monsters on the hill across from the cave.

Good exp 800 to 950 + for each monster. No symbol yet.



Here comes the problem.



A level 52 hunter with cat comes riding up

about the time all the monsters re-spawned

from my feeble attempt at luck to score the symbol.

perp is Wielding a:

Precisely Calibrated Boomstick

speed 1.5

34.7 dps



Zebby has:

Hurricane bow

speed 1.6

37.8 dps

(sniper scope addon +7 damage)

chance for frost arrow 31 to 45 extra frost damage



The perp Hunter sent in her cat and proceeded to

nail those monsters 3 to 1 over Zebby's capability.

How ? Well it appeared to me that the perp's

gun was in full automatic. The cat held agro while

the Hunter plummeted the monster every 1/4 second

or less with a round fires off. The monster could only stand

there and take the damage. Like the monster couldn't

do anything start anything, or begin to move.

This looked like a level 52 Hunter taking on a level 10

anything from the Barrens - that much of a slaw der.

I watched a 60 take out the monsters and go into the cave,

that was faster that Zebby (no shit sherlock)

but way slower than the perp lvl 52 Hunter.

I mean everyone expects 60's to come through

earning gold you know what i mean. But a level 52 ??



Once the perp Hunter finished one monster all the

hunter did was take a quick mana break (quick) and toss

a heal on the cat and go for the next monster.

I watched in disbelief as the lone hunter plowed its way

down the road across the junction clearing and disappeared

into the cave. Then out and rode away. I saw no biggy PvP

armours either. Looks like a hack / cheat.



So is this what the G15 Logitech keyboard gets you in the way

of macros ? Spamming the WoW game keyboard input with

.25 second or .05 second macros that will allow a weapon to

Be fired off in fully automatic rendering the monster into a

Hopeless bowl of lime jello ?



I almost invited this level 52 Hunter to a party to get our symbols

As I figured a level 52 has even less chance of Zebby at Level 53

Of going into that cave alone. That was when the hunter first rode up.

Once I witnessed that little cheat episode - no way.

Come on ! I use Rapid fire and Viper sting and Multi-Shot and that

doesn't look any thing like fully automatic,

if even approaching semi- automatic huh.



I see that behaviors like this and that really takes the fun of the game.

I took Zebby back to IF and ended my gameplay for the evening.

I’ll be back there. Maybe with players that like to have fun with

What Bliz gives us.

One of my friends and I came to the conclusion that those baddies in
that area are just way too overpowered. Well at least for solo play. He
is a hunter of Thorum and found it to be very annoying that these much
lower elites were able to really create problems for him whilst he was
mining for the much desired thorium.

Me, I ended up dropping the flame's casing quest. It just seemed like
the amount of time for grind was not worth it. Then by the time I
jumped out of the Gorge my pals wre jumping in and I was out at Feralas
and Winterspring.

But I'd sure love to go back there and rescue the dwarves out of the
Slag Pit.

And get the flux out of there

And kill Malatoruis.
