Hey all,

I recently took up enchanting and dropped a serious amount of gold
power-leveling it to 275/300. With only 25 points left to go im seeing
some really nice enchantments that i can dish out. That said i have a
two part question for you enchanters about upcoming abilities

1) What enchantments will add glow or pixel effects to a weapon?
2) What are the most popular/profitable enchantments to be able to
offer and where would i obtain the (AH, Rep with some group, etc.)

Im actually only lvl 38 (yes its a twink alt, those of you who are
anti-twink.. hopefully youll forgive me) anyway so i cant quite do
things like timbermaw, or AD rep yet and certinly not the ZG enchants i
hear people talk about.

1. +Weapon Damage : All enchants starting at +3 dmg have a blue glow.
Higher dmg -> brighter glow.
Beastslaying / Elemental Slaying : All enchants have a red glow. Higher
dmg -> brighter glow.
Demonslaying : Bright fiery orange glow.
Fiery : Bright fiery red glow.
Icy Chill : Bright white glow.
+9/+22 Int & Spi : Bright yellow glow.
+15 Agi/Str : Green glow.
Crusader : Greyish white particle effect.
Lifestealing : Bright purple glow.
Unholy : 2 small green skulls orbit the end of the weapon.
Spell Power : Purple glow.
Healing Power : White glow.

2. The popular ones are the ones that add the glow. Of course if you
can get the Enchant Weapon - Crusader, you will be bring in the dough.
Sadly this is a very rare drop from mobs in the Western Plaguelands.
They are at the tower that is just south of Hearthglen. Scarlet
Spellbinders are the guys who will drop it.

Curious,

Is Crusader BoP or BoE?

If BoE i might need to go farm those guys for a while with my other
char.

The recipe is BoE. I've seen it plenty of times in the AH for 300g+

What might the return on such an investment be?

No idea and it's completely irrelevant for me as I've never had
anything close to 300g :)

In my case no return at all (I paid 120g for the Crusader recipe, but
I've only ever enchanted for friends/guildies), but then I can never
be bothered to stand around yelling for busines.

The enchanting profession makes me lots of money, but it's the
disenchanting side that pays. Especially since the 2.01 patch with the
new restrictions on disenchanting.

High + damage will. +5 damage certainly adds a glow, whereas very low
+damage values do not, which is why many characters pay a lot for
Beastslaying even though it is fairly useless.

Apart from cool visual effects (weapon glows), probably Enchants for BG
twinks, i.e. characters who are lvl 19, 29, 39, 49 or 59, with maxed out
equipment. I don't know what those BG twink Enchants might be, but look
for something with a lvl minimum that ends in a 9 (or 8).

damage enchant on the other weapon that glows more.

Enchants don't have a level minimum as far as I know. (unless they
added that in the last patch but I didn't notice it if they did)

It makes sense that a greater +dam would glow more. However, very low
values does not glow at all.

I vaguely recall that a minimum level probably was added with the new
2.0 patch. But if that isn't the case, then BG twinks will simply want
the most powerful that is possible of any Enchant, e.g. maximum +HP or
+MANA.

Cool thanks everyone. I picked up icy last night on the AH for 20g.
Gonna try and get firey too. Im fortunate in that im playing a lock, so
no mount cost :) i can waste my money on this stuff. Hopefully it pays
off in time for the lvl 60 mount quest, i tend to recall locks needing
anout 400g to finish that quest.
