How the heck do I get from Auberdine to Nijels Point in Desolace? I
have looked at the maps and ran south on my mount last night but I ended
up to the east in bad territory. Thanks

You need to get to Stonetalon first and then go through the Charred Vale.

Thanks. I am navigationally challenged both in real life and WoW.

The hard part of getting to Stonetallon is finding the tunnel from
Ashenvale. If you head out of Astranaar going east, the road starts
going south for a bit, then turns east. If you turn south a little bit
after that, you'll hit a big lake. Near the west end of the lake on the
mountains that make up the southern border of Ashenvale is a tunnel (I
forget its name). That takes you into Stonetallon, you then need to
exit stonetallon at its southern end, and the arrow will point you at
Nijel's point.

The Talondeep Path. I find it's easier to find if you go to the refuge
where you get the Expert Cookbook. Go southwest from there, around the
lake, and look for the arch on the hill to the south.

For a more roundabout path, go into the Barrens and go west from
Crossroads, avoiding the Horde guards at the checkpoints.

One could also enter Desolace from the south, going through Faralas. At
level 40 this shouldn't be hard, as long as you dodge the higher-level
critters in eastern Faralas.

My level record for Desolace was getting my 24 rogue to Feathermoon
Stronghold from Ashenvale. I needed to show a 31 guildie how to get to
Nigel's Point, and on a whim we decided to go ahead and get the
Feathermoon flight point. The only tough part was fighting a patrolling
buzzard down south of Mannoroc Coven near where the Kodo Caravan stops.
We just barely survived. The rest of the trip was easy.
