Is my memory playing tricks on me or has there been a change to the path up
to Bloodvenom Post in Felsood? And if so, when? I was sure I remembered it
being a really narrow bit of land between the hill and the river, where you
had to jump over a treeroot or two... just took my shaman up there to get
the flightpath though and there's a nice wide path, even with a torch or
two beside it, and no treeroots. I'm confused!

Pretty sure I never noticed it being like that when my warlock was
levelling soon after the patch that changed levelling etc (2.3?) so was
this a 2.4 change? Or did I completely fail to notice it before? Or was it
always like this and my memory's playing tricks? :-)

Dunno if it was other before, but in 2.2 the road was there... maybe before
the 2.x patches it was different...

It has certainly changed in a recent patch, it was as you remembered
when I went through there the first time. Impossible to find unless you
knew about it in advance!

Ah good, glad I'm not imagining things! And yes, it took me forever to find
the place the first time I levelled a Horde character, that was why it
surprised me so much to see that nice clear and obvious path, as I ran
around half of west Felwood looking for it way back when :-)

All part of the dumbing down that's been happening ever since TBC launched.

I wouldn't call that dumbing down. Countless player characters have
passed through there. Ever see what happens in real life when people
walk the same path through a thick forest everyday? A distinct path
starts to develop. It just makes sense that after all these years of
players passing through that area that it has become beaten down into
a distinct path.

Besides, the previous path to the camp there was just stupid. It
seems like the devs realized they forgot a horde FP in Felwood and
stuck it in the first empty spot they could find in the zone and never
developed the approach to the camp.

Indeed, you'd think if nothing else that the Horde guards themselves
would've cleared a path to it by now, given how off the beaten track it
is :-) Although I still wonder how they managed to move the hill and
river apart, must've added a good 2-3 yards width of land there somehow
;-)

leper gnome slaves in a building in Silvermoon, the horde is not
beyond slavery).

With the aid of a Steam Tonk of course.
