Hm! Missions with huge exp bonus tend to fail

3 missions each giving 15k exp to the followers failed for me tonight.
All the missions had a 91-95% chance for profit. I have also seen this
with missions with 10k exp bonus while the missions with 8k exp bonus
usually succeed when above 80-90%.
Am I just experiencing very very very bad rng or do you also experience
this?

Hmm, interesting one! It might be extreme bad luck, as I've never
noticed a similar pattern, the only thing I tend to notice is anything
with a good reward seems to have about 20% chance to succeed, whatever
the chace might say, while anything with a reward which is useless to
me will always succeed, even when I throow totally unsuited followers
at it lol. But probably just RNG in my case at least! I'll pay more
attention to ones like yours, mine usually succeed i think, but
haven't paid a huge amount of attention.

I'd love to actually see a mission for some 645+ gear sometime though,
haven't had one in about three weeks now.

If missions aren't 100% they roll per character, not just one 95% roll.
To get higher lvl missions it seems you need 3 at that level.
Don't upgrade a few to high level , wait until you have a few with a
good ability mix ready to raise level otherwise you will have them
hanging around but no chance of success.
The higher your character levels the more high level missions you get.

But it seems there are limits and new missions replace.
The more missions you do the more you get.
Barracks tends to clog the available with patrol missions, fine for
low lvl followers or gr missions but useless otherwise.

Clearing out low chance or low value missions you have a better chance
of getting something useful or you have a better chance match for.

Active patrolling (expensive) vs sitting in base (cheap but unproductive).

Yes , there are triggers and prerequisites for levels, and they could
change with level and hotfix :-)
I am not sure sure about the numbers now, but it isn't just a matter
of waiting and hoping. Well, a bit , there is rng in there as well for
the specials.
Churn and churn some more, it isn't about optimising return on gr.

You need higher ilvl followers, 630 will give the 645 ilvl rewards,
645 followers opens up the Highmaul raid mission, which gives a 655
reward for the likes of me, apparently those can go higher for people
raiding higher difficulties. And I just got that mission for the first
time in about 3 weeks, yay! Failed last time on 50%, this time I had
83% chance, will find out in the morning if it succeeded... fingers
crossed :-)

I started fiddling with the follower gear and enhancements. There was a
lot of things I didnt know about this. All my followers were 600 and
suddenly I had 4 followers maxed out at 655. The first epic/645
follower gear mission also showed up in the list.
I've played this game since vanilla with a few breaks now and then. But
there are still new things to discover in this game even for old
dumbasses like me. :)

Success! And it very kindly gave me a cloak (I was still wearing my
legendary), with multistrike and spirit, the two best stats for a holy
priest. That could not have gone better, I think I just used up my
store of good luck for a few months :-D

Hehe :-) The follower gearing is one of the most fun things in this
expansion for me, I'm loving trying to build a decent team up and get
as many abilities as possible countered. Haven't raised any to 655 yet
but I have nine at 645 which covers most things, I'll probably raise
up to 655 next and see if that unlocks anything new!

I have noticed that quests in the 70% range (70-79) fail about 70% of
the time.

Was it bonus xp? were you carrying a follower?

I used to send lower levels if I had a high chance and a slot free
thinking they were red, must be good xp ,right?.
But no, apparently red means less xp, and less chance on the bonus,

I just read 95% as better than 90%, you can still lose, and nothing to
stop me having a 20 run losing streak at 95%. Apparently you can still
lose at 100%. Forums have some people complaining about at loss at 75%,
I think 30% is usually worth a shot just for the basic xp, if it gets a
bonus that is as...bonus:-)
