E'ko drop rates?

I am trying to find accurate drop rates for various E'ko in Winterspring.
I notice on most the sites ( thotbot , goblinworkshop etc ) the various drop
rates show
less then 2% for all types such as WInterfall E'ko and Shardtooth E'ko.

However after killing 24 Winterfall Furlgos I got 3 E'ko ( enough to turn in
for juju )
That averages a drop rate of better than 12% which is much less tedious than
the
1 to2% ratesI have been reading. ( I am also Alliance) .
I am wondering about the other E'ko such as Shardtooth and Ice Thisle.
Was I extremely luck to get 3 for 24 or is the listings just non current or
flawed?
Perhaps the low rates also include a majority of kills from characters that
do not have the
Cache of Mau'ari on hand?
I really do not want to end up killing 100 mobs only to find out that a
particular drop rate is indeed 1 or 2 %.

They do. For a long time for example, droprates were totally flawed
because the cache of mau'ari was horde-only.

The drop rate (from experience) amounts to about 10%/kill for all
sorts of e'ko. Of course you'll see much more winterfall e'ko than
shardtooth or chillwind ones because the bears are very spreaded
around, while winterfalls are stacked on top of each other. Similarly,
you'll see less frostsaber e'kos because these are stronger in
general, are at a remote spot, and have a tendency to deal a lot of
damage because of all the stealthed adds & cubs that don't drop e'kos -

more down time and less e'kos per hour. Another e'ko of note, the
one from the giants in the south, also appears to be harder to get,
but only because they are elites and have a rather slow respawn timer
and rather long killing time.
Lastly, e'kos from wildkins are generally harder to farm than
winterfalls, because wildkins are casters with high armor (the worst
type of mob to farm, generally speaking).

Bingo - and from people who killed them before they even dropped the E'ko.
