Web DKP Trackers

Hello fellow Wow players :)

I'm coming here to ask for some advice on setting up a web-based DKP
tracker. I've installed eqDKP but haven't played with it much, and
I've looked at nDKP but haven't tried it yet.

Our guild currently goes by the following DKP system:

1. DKP is earned at a rate of 1pt per 15 minutes of raiding time in a
40 man instance. Each boss kill is worth 2 additional points of DKP,
with any boss downed for the first time worth 5 points instead.

2. On dropped epics you whisper your bid in secret to the loot master
and the high bidder pays the 2nd high bidder's bid + 1.

Naturally the official rules are longer but that is a quick working
summary. Anyways, when looking at eqDKP and nDKP, neither seem to
really have any system in place for awarding DKP bassed on time
attended. They all have the ability to add a bonus to a raid (which I
could use for the boss kill points), but from what I've seen they want
to assign a set value to an instance, rather than scaling with time.

My question is: is there an option somewhere that I'm missing. Or
alternatively, is the another web-DKP program out there that would fit
our rule system better? I'm hoping to have something that can
automatically import from CTRaidTracker, or any other similar addon
that I could grab.

Thanks.

Hey Mike!

There is a version of CTRaidTracker especially modded for EqDKP. We've
been using it since the beginning and once you get used to it, you can
track raids very fast. You will also need a plugin for EqDKP to accept
the Raidtracker format.

Now onto the tracking of time attended. For our own raids, we award
attendancy DKP when we do 'new' content (meaning bosses we haven't
killed before) some sort of motivation DKP for wiping ;) This is a
fixed amount of DKP for each hour started, and a bonus if you stay
until the end. As I see it, with EqDKP + Raidtracker there are two ways
to keep track of this:

- Add the 'majority' as a raid. Typically this will be all the people
that stayed from the beginning until the end. Those that leave early or
join later will have to be adjusted manually (individual adjustments
under the EqDKP menu...). This is how we do it in order to keep our
Database a bit clean.

- Work with 'checkpoints'. With the new CTRA you can make Snapshots of
the raid. For DKP/hour you can make a snapshot each hour, and award x
DKP for everyone in the raid at that point. This isn't completely exact
but close enough. If you wanna award for each 15 minutes, that's gonna
be a lot of snapshotting and lots of importing though. But perhaps an
idea to consider.

In the raidtracker logs the first join / last leave times are included,
so if you have someone in the guild that can code some php, he might be
able to modify the plugin to automate the attendancy DKP...

Hope this helps you out!
