Some pretty interesting stuff in the panel just now (when I finally
got through the nonstop buffering, for a paid stream it was awful...),
IF the reality lives up to it, then I think Legion will at least be an
improvement on WoD, I'm wary of being more optimistic till I see more
but it seems to have potential ;-) Stuff that interested me includes:
Scaling mobs/zones below lvl 110, so you can do the levelling zones in
any order (hooray, might be the first expansion since Wrath that it's
actually bloody playable on my server then, if we all spread out
across 4 zones instead of 4k+ people all trying to do the same few
quests at once), and rewards likewise scale. I especially like the
sound of *everything* then being usable as max lvl content, always
found it a shame that you rarely go back to some pretty cool zones,
just because they're low lvl.
Endgame world content, reminded me of the D3 bounty system tbh, stuff
to do all over the map, and pick what you like the look of, with none
of it daily, but varying lengths of availability, so not daily chores.
It certainly seems likely to be a huge improvement over WoD's (lack
of) endgame, whether it has lasting power remains to be seen. This is
the one which really needs to work for me.
Dungeons ending the main storylines again, well actually my first
thought was "oh no" because I really don't like pugging dungeons. But
with that said, I did bother with them more when they were actually
relevant and part of the story, rather than standalone places with no
connection to anything much. Maybe this time out I'll last more than 4
dungeons into an expansion before hitting a pug bad enough to put me
off trying any more... :-P
We'll see, it might be better this time out at least, if what they're
talking about actually happens (and I note everything they showed
seems pretty near finished, maybe they've given up showing concepts
because people really don't like it when stuff doesn't happen) At the
very least the zones look graphically awesome, as usual, so I'll
certainly enjoy exploring it, whatever may happen after that. (Also
druids enjoy your new moonkin/aquatic forms, they look tons better!)
